A Legacy Memorial is a virtual memorial web page that is dedicated to the life and memory of a loved one who has passed away. A virtual memorial can be customized to include the following features:
Your site will be assigned its own unique Internet address. Once you create your virtual memorial, you can share that address with family and friends so they can access it directly from their home computer. In addition, we provide the capability to link your online memorial directly to the headstone using QR Code technology. Â For example, those visiting a grave, can scan the attached legacy marker using any smart phone or mobile device with internet capabilities. The memorial you have created would then appear on the screen of that device, giving them the opportunity to relive those precious memories and even leave a tribute of thier own.
Visitors can also search for any Legacy Memorial by selecting the Search Memorials link located on the home page of legacymemorial.com.
After you have registered and an account has been created, you may begin uploading text, documents, photos, and videos making your sight immediately available for others to view. Your can change your sight as often as you like and add or delete content at anytime.
Aside from basic Layout, you have complete control and customization of your memorial. We understand how important it is for the memorial to reflect the unique personality of each individual. The background of each memorial can be changed to reflect the identity of each person. You may select from a list of different backgrounds, or you may upload your own photos to be displayed on the background of your site. Large photos with relatively high resolution are recommended to avoid a pixelated background.
Each Legacy Memorial is assigned a unique internet address that can be accessed from any computer. Once you have created a memorial you can share that address with friends and family using email, Facebook, twitter, etc. You may also search for the memorial(s) that you have created from the home page of legacymemorial.com.
During initial sign up, you will be asked to enter your email address and choose a password. You will then be considered the administrator which gives you exclusive access to the management section.
Visitors to the site you create can add content, such as stories and tributes, but will only post after you have approved what they have added.
Once you have created an online memorial, simply log into you account, click "manage memorials", and then select "transfer" for the desired memorial you wish to transfer. You may then enter in the email of the person you wish to transfer the memorial to. You can then send a personal message along with the transfer, or you may choose the automated message to be sent. Be cautious that you don't delete the link in the email. The recipient will then be prompted to click on the link provided in the email, and then will be instructed on how to accept ownership of the memorial.
Because your Legacy Marker is an individual and customized product, allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
Your Legacy Marker will arrive with an outdoor adhesive backing. Â This backing is UV and weather resistant and has been specially chosen so as not to harm the surface of your monument.
You may gift a Legacy Memorial by purchasing a gift card from our online store. Once you have received your gift card in the mail, and have given it to the individual or family, they may then log in and create a lifetime memorial. Upon reaching the payment page, they simply scratch off the promo code on the back of the card, and then enter it in the promo code field. Upon doing so they will receive a full discount of price.
